The DEI core works within Cal Poly SWE to shape values for the organization and college-wide. Our goals are to lower barriers-to-entry and create a sense of belonging and confidence for historically underrepresented identities in engineering. We plan collaborative events with student and university organizations, the Cal Poly machine shops, and lead DEI initiatives and discussions during internal SWE operations.
